Dino, dino, dinosaurs!

Everyone loved our story about the little boy who traveled back in time and was chased by a bunch of dinosaurs.

We had lots of fun making 3 dinosaurs, a mommy, a baby and one still in it's egg waiting to hatch.  {Hopefully your egg has dried and your little one has been able to dig their dino out.}

The kids had fun taking turns hiding the dino egg for eachother.

 Little Brynlee even joined in.  What a cutie pie!!  Sorry I had to add this one in, what can I say, she's my baby girl.  =)

We got nice and dirty making our dinosaur eggs.  Here is the recipe for the sand eggs that we made.  Just a side note, I was thinking about using this for a FHE lesson, instead of putting a dinosaur in the middle put in a small jewel {I found some at the dollar store} and talk about how the world likes us to see the gospel as something worthless and ugly but if we dig into the gospel we will find its true value, the jewel.  My kids are going to love this.

I have no idea what to call this recipe so.....

SANDY FINGERS
I don't know I guess you get sandy fingers when you make this!

1 1/4 C dirt
1 1/4 C flour
3/4 C. salt
1/2 C sand
water
small dinosaurs

Mix everything except water and dino's.  Slowly add water until you get a clay like mixture then mold around dinosaurs.    Let dry for several days.
